Jean Schuler

September 8, 1955 ~ May 4, 2015

Jean Schuler passed away on May 4, 2015 at Medicine Hat Hospice at age 59, after her battle with cancer.

Jean was born in Fernie, BC, then moved to the Creston valley as a child. Her parents settled in Wynndel, BC where she attended school and grew up with her three sisters. Jean married George Schuler and moved to Erickson. Together they raised their daughter Sarah and worked their orchard and gardens for over 30 years. She dreamt of someday owning a restaurant, which finally came true when she opened Nana’s Country Kitchen. Jean had a green thumb, was a hard worker and was always working with her hands. She loved to cook, garden and numerous types of crafts.

Jean is survived by her parents Louis and Rosaria Bossio; her younger sisters Louise Hamilton, Marlene Layden and Susan Leins; her husband George Schuler; her only daughter Sarah Dyer; and her two grandchildren, Jesse and Kaylie Dyer.

A private family service to take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erickson, BC at a later date.

Friends wishing to make a memorial tribute may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society.
